Plagiarism, Copyright And All That
Plagiarism, Copyright And All That
Ryan Healy has written a couple of very good posts on his blog regarding the attribution of credit where credit is due…
… and the fact that even something as simple as this can be taken too far.
He has made some good points as to how far you need to go to make known the fact that you were originally taught by someone else, whether in person or through reading something the person has written.
The simple fact is…
… everyone single person in the whole world from the first man, Adam (pbuh), has had to learn from someone else.
Nothing is new, just discovered.
And…
… nobody has the right to say someone else is not allowed to claim his work as his own.
The fact is, once you have studied your subject, and become an expert at it, as long as you’re not copying someone else’s words verbatim, you have the right to claim it as your own.
Otherwise…
… no university student would ever have the right to write a book because he had gained his knowledge from his lecturer.
There’s a limit to everything.
If this makes sense to you, good.
If not, feel free to go over and check out Ryan’s original articles… there’s two of them.

Wankers Running Tinpot Businesses
Wankers Running Tinpot Businesses
I love reading Drayton Bird’s blog and the colourful language he uses.
But, even more so, I love the marketing lessons he dishes out using his colourful metaphors.
Take, for example, his latest post “My prayer for the recession“… while a fun read, all you gotta to do is the opposite of what he says is being done and you’ve got yourself an ejication in marketing.
Go check it out.
