The Only Certainty is Death… And Taxes
I’m listening to talks on how the world was under genuine Islamic rule - what a peaceful existence they must have had back then.
The world would be a much better place under those early rulers.
No taxes to pay, and yet, everyone was provided for.
Now, apart from death, the only other certainty is taxes.
Under Islamic rule, the only ‘taxes’ payable is 2.5% from any money earned above a certain amount.
That means, unless you are earning so much that you have more than you need, you pay no taxes.
Did you get that?
NO TAXES.
Even the rich couldn’t complain under that kind of rule… who could refuse, or want to pay, only 2.5% of their earnings?
I mean, what are the tax rates now?
What are they for the low wage earners?
What are they for the higher earners?
And, guess what?
That was sufficient to run the economy.
Nowadays, they take almost everything we have and the economy is still going down the tubes.
Something really stinks.
